The Central Commercial Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) is funded by assessments paid by local property owners and administered by Logan Heights Community Development Corporation (LHCDC). The district works to maintain and enhance San Diego’s Central Commercial corridor by providing services that improve cleanliness, strengthen the area’s visual appeal, and preserve its historic character.
An advisory committee made up of residents, business owners, property owners, and other community stakeholders provides guidance and oversight. Through this collaborative effort, LHCDC helps ensure that the district’s public spaces remain clean, safe, welcoming, and reflective of the community’s history, identity, and shared values.
